Welcome to "The Dryades House" in lovely Uptown New Orleans, Louisiana where our guests can "Live like a local". The home is located in a safe residential neighborhood and is within walking distance to several wonderful local restaurants, such as Pascal's Manale & Charlie's Steakhouse.
Take a short walk and catch a ride on the world famous St Charles Avenue streetcar (fare $1.25). Sit back and relax as the street car glides by lovely new Orleans neighborhoods, majestic oak trees and grand mansions. The street car is a convenient, scenic way to visit many New Orleans attractions, including: Magazine Street, famous for antique shops and cafes; Audubon Zoo; and the French Quarter.
During your stay at The Dryades House you'll feel right at home. We know you'll enjoy the lovely mix of old & new. Historic architectural details abound both inside and outside the house, from the inviting front porch, 11 ft ceilings, hardwood floors, to the transoms and mantels. Modern amenities, such as cable TV, high speed wireless internet, plush new furnishings, as well as modern kitchen and bath, are sure to please.
The home comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests with 2 bedrooms and sofa sleeper in den. Each bedroom offers a comfy Queen-size bed (Vera Wand/Serta mattresses), reading lamps, mirror, dresser, and flat screen cable TV. The home has been recently remodeled and now offers 2 full bathrooms. The plush sofa in the den opens to a Queen-size sleeper. Bath towels, blankets, pillows, and luxurious 420 thread count sheets are provided for our guests' use.
The den, which is the first room in the home, also features a new flat screen cable TV, reclining chair, ceiling fan, reading lamps, VCR and DVD player, several movies on DVD & video, books, and high speed internet. At the rear of the house, the roomy dine-in kitchen is well-equipped so that the chef in your group can prepare a delightful meal or quick snack. The kitchen features a pub-height table with seating for 6, microwave, disposal, refrigerator/freezer, range/oven, dishwasher, blender, toaster oven, coffee pot, utensils, dishes, pots, pans & more! For your convenience there's a full-size stackable washer / dryer so you can pack a little lighter!
For larger groups, The Dryades Suite is located across the porch, right next door. The Dryades Suite sleeps up to 4 people and features 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a mini fridge and microwave, cable TV in the den, and FREE high-speed wireless internet!
